This website was created to help you know what's happening, and to locate other Navy League websites, in the Great Lakes Region.
The Navy League is a non-profit organization that was started in 1902 by then-President Teddy Roosevelt. It is a civilian organization which is dedicated to keep the American public and our government aware that we are a maritime nation and our national defense and economic well-being are dependent upon our strong sea services. They are the United States Navy, the United States Marine Corps, the United States Coast Guard and the United States Merchant Marine.
Our goals are to educate our national leaders and the nation, support youth programs (United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps and NJROTC Units throughout the country). We also support the men and women of the sea services and provide assistance to their families in times of need.
If you wish to join our organization, a link to the Navy League membership form can be found on the websites for the Region's Councils.
